Blogging was one of my first creative outlets. For my first six month on exchange as a teenager I chose to limit my communication with the U.S. to only written letters and blog posts. Blogging was an easy way to share my day-to-day thoughts and images and allowed me to dive deeper into my host family’s language and culture by preventing close contact with my social safety net in Bozeman. I posted almost every day, and by the end of my trip I had over 40,000 views on my blogs.
